Child labour is the practice of engaging children in economic activities, on part time or full time basis. Child labour is recognized as a serious and enormously complex social problem in India. India home to close to 13 million children child labourers under 17 (census 2001). Our aim to make child labour socially and culturally unaccepted.

AHYS work with state authorities & civil society organizations to free children engaging in labour. Currently we are working in Delhi & NCR to remove children from exploitative working situation and rehabilitate them and support their education. Due to this initiative more than approximate 2000 child labourers were rescued from in and around the city. Majority of these children were from the States of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and some from Rajasthan and Gujarat. The children were repatriated to their respective villages.
